Sculptra
An injectable that prompts your body to build its own collagen over several months. Volume returns gradually, which is why the change tends to read as looking well rather than treated.

Patience Is Part of the Protocol
A typical plan involves a series of sessions spaced roughly six weeks apart, with the number depending on how much collagen loss we are working against. Immediately after each session you may look fuller, but that is the dilution fluid and it resolves within days. The real result builds quietly between appointments, which is why we photograph you at each visit rather than relying on memory.
Sculptra suits the broad areas where diffuse thinning shows: the temples, the outer cheeks, the jawline, and areas off the face such as the décolletage. It is not the right tool for precise definition in the lips or tear trough. Many patients combine it with hyaluronic acid filler, using Sculptra to rebuild the foundation and filler to refine specific contours.

Rebuilding Collagen Rather Than Replacing Volume
Sculptra belongs to a different category than traditional filler. Its active ingredient, poly-L-lactic acid, does not sit in the tissue to create volume. Instead it acts as a stimulus, prompting your fibroblasts to lay down new collagen over a period of months. The microparticles are gradually absorbed and what remains is tissue your own body built.
This distinction matters for anyone focused on skin longevity rather than a quick correction. Collagen loss is the underlying driver of facial thinning and crepey texture, and Sculptra addresses that process directly. The result develops slowly enough that the change reads as looking well rather than looking treated, which is precisely why so many patients choose it.
What a collagen-stimulating approach offers patients thinking in years rather than months.

How soon will I see a difference?
Expect meaningful change around the three-month mark, with continued improvement for six months or longer after your final session. Any fullness in the first few days is fluid, not the result. This is a treatment that rewards patience, and we track progress with photographs so you can see changes that are easy to miss day to day.
How many sessions will I need?
Most patients need two to four sessions spaced about six weeks apart. The number depends on how much volume has been lost and how readily your skin responds. Yve will estimate a range at your consultation and adjust as she sees how you are progressing.
Is Sculptra a good choice for me?
It tends to suit patients with generalized thinning who want a gradual change and are comfortable waiting for it. If you want an immediate result or precise definition in a small area, hyaluronic acid filler is usually the better tool. Those with certain autoimmune conditions or a history of keloid scarring may not be candidates, which we discuss in detail beforehand.
What happens after each session?
Massage of the treated areas is an important part of aftercare, and Yve will show you exactly how and for how long. Swelling and bruising can occur for several days. Following the massage instructions carefully helps the product distribute evenly.
Beauty should never be about changing who you are.
It should be about preserving what makes you uniquely you.
