Which Setting Treats What

3D MIRACL

The lightest setting. It works on the very top layer of skin to improve dullness, uneven tone, discoloration and rough texture. Skin usually looks brighter within days, and most people go straight back to their week. It makes a good first laser treatment and a good way to keep skin in condition between deeper sessions.

Refresh

Refresh goes a little further, through the outer layers of the epidermis. It is used for fine lines, mild to moderate sun damage, age spots and discoloration. Expect around three to five days of social downtime, with some redness and flaking while the skin turns over.

Renew

Renew is the deepest setting. It reaches into the dermis, where collagen lives, to remodel tissue that time or injury has damaged. This is the setting for deeper wrinkles and for acne and surgical scarring. Recovery is longer, usually around five to ten days, and results keep building for months as new collagen forms.

Yve chooses the setting during your assessment, weighing what your skin needs against the time you can give it to heal. She will tell you plainly what recovery to expect before you book, and if a series of lighter sessions would serve you better than one deep treatment, she will say so.

One Laser, Three Settings

AuraLux is a single device, an ablative cold fiber laser working at 2910 nm. That wavelength is absorbed so readily by water in the skin that roughly 95 percent of its energy goes into precise ablation, with only about 5 percent left behind as heat. Older resurfacing lasers spread far more heat into the surrounding tissue, and that heat is what drives long redness and a slow recovery.

What changes from one visit to the next is the setting. AuraLux has three of them, 3D MIRACL, Refresh and Renew, and each one works at a different depth in the skin. That is why the same laser can brighten a dull complexion one month and soften acne scarring the next. You are not choosing between different machines. You are choosing how deep the treatment goes.

Benefits of AuraLux Cold Fiber Laser

Why one adjustable cold fiber laser covers more ground than a single fixed treatment.

One Device, Three Depths
3D MIRACL, Refresh and Renew let the same laser work at the surface, through the epidermis, or down into the dermis.
Less Collateral Heat
Roughly 95 percent of the energy goes into precise ablation, so recovery reflects the setting chosen rather than heat damage.
Tone, Lines and Scarring
Treats dullness, discoloration, sun damage, age spots, fine lines, deeper wrinkles, and acne or surgical scarring.
Recovery You Can Plan
Downtime ranges from almost none on 3D MIRACL to around a week or more on Renew, and you will know which before you book.
